Entrepreneurship education is now all universities

Now all of the Netherlands entrepreneurship in education and vocational training will be compulsory from next year, said senior researcher Dr. Petra Gibbous. But the content of the different institutions and faculties - and far too long to integrate entrepreneurship education into the curriculum.

"We notice that it is important to teach the teachers. Teachers are not the models - models who are entrepreneurs - so if you want students to transfer entrepreneurial knowledge, then you need to be an entrepreneur.

"We have also noticed that some of our country's institutions of higher education teachers selected based on their entrepreneurial skills. So that is why it has become important in the last two or three years, another way of thinking."

We could take a long time to integrate entrepreneurship education into the curriculum, because of budget constraints and lack of academic reluctance to cooperate with each other across disciplines. There were more and more involved in entrepreneurship education for students. Today the Netherlands 5% of all students in higher education are somehow involved in entrepreneurship education. Gibbous highlighted the contradiction between what students say and what they do. "In the Netherlands 31% of students say that they want to become entrepreneurs, as well as research, only 8% of entrepreneurs has become a given. So, it's a huge gap."
